Labor Day Weekend 2010
Labor Day Weekend is right around the corner and I have some fun things every family should keep in mind and think about doing!!! So find some family fun this last weekend of summer! The Washington, DC area has some great outdoor events going on this Labor Day Weekend. Here are some suggestions:
DC Blues Festival
Saturday, September 4, 2010, 1-7 p.m. Carter Barron Amphitheater. Washington, DC. This free annual festival features live blues by outstanding local and national acts.
Labor Day Concert at the U.S. Capitol
Sunday, September 5, 2010, 8 p.m. East Capitol and First Streets, Washington, DC (202) 225-6827. Enjoy a free concert by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Kennedy Center Page-to-Stage Festival
September 4-6, 2010, 2-10 p.m. The Kennedy Center hosts more than 25 local theater companies in a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals. This three-day event gives audiences a look at new works being prepared for Washington premieres in the 2010–2011 theater season.
Not only does DC have these special events going on this Labor Day Weekend but as always DC has some great restaurants to stop in and eat at while you're out with your family! So grab the kids, throw on something comfortable, and fill this last weekend of summer with great memories!
